TNI’s 2008 Owners’ Conference |
The 6th Annual TNI Owners’ Conference took place Tuesday May 6th - Sunday May 11th, 2008 and was again hosted at the beautiful Lake Okanagan Resort in Kelowna, British Columbia. The conference offered Agency Owners, Managers and Assistant Managers an excellent mix of learning, networking and relaxation at one of the Okanagan’s incredible resorts!
This year the conference was only open to those in the position of Assistant Management or higher. This year also saw more meetings and seminars scheduled than ever before and also saw a host of new topics covered. It was a great learning experience for those who were privileged enough to attend. The conference took place over a five day period and included several events such as: a meet and greet at TNI GOC Head Office, a variety of seminars focusing on all aspects of the business, a black tie four-course awards banquet honoring the best in the business, a BBQ and beachside bonfire, and the Fit for a Champion contest early bird draw!
On Tuesday, as everyone arrived, TNI hosted a meet and greet event where Owners, Managers and Assistant Managers got to meet and speak with the people face to face whom they deal with on a daily basis.
On Thursday, everyone was treated to an evening boat cruise that took the group almost all the way to Vernon. Delicious food and a roof top hot tub were the highlights for the evening!
Throughout the three days of meetings, speeches were given on a variety of topics ranging from recruiting, managing employees, the online database, financial planning, computer training and much more.
Friday night was the annual Black Tie Dinner where some hardware was handed out to those who had done an exceptional job in the past 12 months. Congratulations to this years winners!

| On Saturday the group had a chance to relax and get in some fun with various activities. The day started with ball hockey where the East continued their reign, and the rest of the day saw a BBQ which was attended by many TNI staff members and the evening finished up with a beachside bonfire. |

“The Best One Yet!”
As we grow and excel, so do our Owners’ Conferences. With the feedback that we have already received, the 5th Annual Conference was definitely no exception. Coming out of our best year ever, led to our best TNI Owners’ Conference!
The 5 days were jam packed with various activities including two days of educational seminars, dinner on an Executive Houseboat, a West vs. East ball hockey tournament, and the Early Bird Draw, not to mention great food and amazing weather!
Our Black Tie Awards dinner was a huge event with 3 Early Bird draw winners, and 5 award winners.

“The Future is Now!”
was the slogan headlining the May 2006 Owners’ Conference. The conference, from May 2nd-7th 2006, featured two full days of seminars geared to teach agency owners to run their businesses better and to assist top managers in more efficiently preparing for the future. The conference also served as the venue to draw the winner of our Catch the Wave contest vehicle draw for a brand new Pontiac Wave!
As many will attest to, this Owners’ Conference once again raised the bar providing an excellent blend of learning, fun events, great food and spectacular weather throughout. The Friday night Black Tie Awards Dinner was a beautiful evening in which the top business performers of 2005 were recognized in front of their peers.

“Arrive in 2005!”was a top slogan throughout this Owners’ Conference, encouraging reps to strive toward ownership in the coming year. Owners, on the other hand, had the question "Are you running your business, or is your business running you?" posed to them. A powerful seminar on one of the four days of this conference addressed both reps and owners in these two specific areas.
Take a poll of those who attended the TNI 3rd Annual Owners’ Conference and you'll get a strong concensus: This conference was by far the best yet! A number of events some of which included golf, hockey, tennis, rock trivia, and a black tie awards dinner, made this a conference to remember!

The 2003 Owners’ Conference was an outstanding occasion with guests from Australia, the United States and Canada attending. There were several activities ranging from the conference itself to tubing down the canal, jet skiing, the night life and enjoying everything the sunny Okanagan has to offer.

“Do in 2002!” was the conference slogan from Steve Allison, President of TNI, at the 1st Annual Owners’ Conference held on the May 24th weekend. “Surround yourself with great people,” was a message that he hammered home as a key for success. It is obvious that Mr. Allison practices what he preaches; this group showed “Drive, Dedication & Desire!"
